IKEA Family was launched in the Linköping store in Sweden in 1984. But the foundations, of what is today one of the largest customer clubs in the world, were set already back in 1952 when IKEA founder, Ingvar Kamprad, started the first IKEA customer club, “Silverklubben”.

Ingvar saw the importance of having an ongoing and strong relationship with IKEA customers and through the club he would communicate with them directly and learn about their needs and wants.

A lot has changed since then. But our attitude has remained the same. In our IKEA Family, the inspiration has always been you. And our ambition is to get to know your tastes, ideas and plans, to create the perfect IKEA experience just for you.

We may be the largest family in the world, but we will work tirelessly to make you feel like you’re special to us
